News Update - June 2018

Thank you to all who have completed the web surveys to date, and all those who have helped TOAD in every way. Here is a round up of the latest news.

1) Draft Neighbourhood Plan Update

The Toad team have been busy behind the scenes gathering information for the draft neighbourhood plan. The volunteers are approaching organisations and businesses for their input under the guidance of our professional adviser, David Nicholson and searching out information.

2) Locality Grant Funding

We are delighted to tell you we have secured Locality grant funding for this financial year and also have been successful in obtaining a £10,000 lottery grant. £8,000 of this will go towards a new one-stop website for the Parish to incorporate a new Parish Council website but also link in to other groups in the community. This will make finding information easier for everyone, residents and visitors. The additional £2,000 is to help fund Toad expenses.

3) Funding for Technical Help

We have also been granted some government funded technical help i.e. free to us, from a company called Aecom, who are looking specifically at our housing needs and future demand.

4) September Questionnaire

Work has started on the questionnaire which will be hand delivered to every household probably late September, which will give you all a chance to give your opinions.

Sue CollierAnd lastly ...

We will have a stand at the Ombersley Church Fete on Saturday 23rd June 2018 from 1.00pm in the Wedding Field opposite Checketts so do drop by for a chat, and don't forget you can also now follow us on Facebook.

With kind regards

Calling all Volunteers

If you feel that you would like to help, we need volunteers. The Parish Council cannot do this by themselves.  We need help with planning, communications, secretarial support, data analysis, IT and graphic design, and we will need help for manning drop-ins, coffee mornings, leaflet posting, photography and so on.

Everyone welcome!
