What do our previous cohorts say about us?

I am a senior postdoctoral researcher in Basel, working on the neuronal mechanisms of learning and memory formation. My next career step is establishing my own research lab in academia that requires lots of new skills in team management, goal setting, and sustainable time management. This caused me a lot of anxiety, since developing these novel qualities requires time, energy and professional guidance. Knowing András for almost a decade now, I have applied for his course of Personal Goal Setting Training to learn the most current techniques and know-hows on these skills. My expectations were far surpassed by the support, effectiveness and preparedness of András, who shared theoretical and practical knowledge on the material that I now use in my daily practice. I highly recommend to participate in his course and seek out his knowledge on effective goal management.

Andras, PhD

Neuroscientist, FMI, Basel

I wasn’t new to goal setting by any means; I was already familiar with the most common techniques and practices. Still, I learned something new on every single occasion, and thanks to Andris, I started thinking systematically about compiling a hierarchy of interconnected goals.
I enjoyed the format that mixed lecture style with small group exercises. Throughout the course, we worked on a large virtual canvas where every step was recorded, making it easy to review previous sessions. My favorite tool I learned was the Prerequisite Tree, an interesting thinking process that I know I’ll apply not just for goal setting but also in a more general sense when I want to deeply think about a topic.

I had been stuck with setting my personal goals for a while. It was infuriating that I knew the direction, but it was still too big of a challenge, because this time I really wanted to do this right. During the workshops we thoroughly discussed what makes good goals, both on a daily basis and in the long term. Andras has read everything there is about goal setting – and he was happy to share it with us. We also put the learned tools into practice from session to session. I was finally feeling enlightened: finally a simple and science-based structure, which I know I can trust!

Hello, I’m Aron. My reason for participating in this course was that I’m somewhat good at planning but very bad at execution. My goal was to gain useful skills to be able to plan and follow it through.

I knew immediately that I chose well, when I got my first e-mail. It was well written, informative and kind.
Through the course there were a couple of useful e-mails, that were awesome. Before the lesson, what to expect, how to prepare for the next one. After the lesson, what we have learned and how to practice.
Andras from ToadWorks is awesome. He speaks from experience, listens patiently to questions and answers them fully. Carefully balances the topics, to have time to fully immerse but pays attention to not run out of time.
I gained useful skills to get my life back on track. I gained focus and motivation, while I was in a friendly environment. It was so much fun that I would do it again just for that.
I frequently see a psychologist with my problem that I’m in automatic mode. With Andras I have learned more in this 6 weeks about self-control then in years with my psychologist.
As you can guess, I fully recommend Andras and his course. He has some useful educational videos on Youtube too. Check them out and you will immediately be able to get to know him, while also learning some useful tips in the topic.

As a 37-year-old mom of two, juggling work, kids, and everything in between, my own goals always seemed to end up at the bottom of the list. When I first heard about András’s Personal Goal Setting training, I wasn’t sure if I could even find the time, let alone if it would actually help. But I decided to give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did.

From the very first session, András made everything feel doable and real. He’s not just teaching—he’s guiding you step-by-step in a way that feels supportive and down-to-earth. The small group setup made it feel like I was just chatting with friends, and András was there helping us make sense of things. What really clicked for me was how he broke down the whole goal-setting process into simple, manageable steps that I could actually fit into my crazy busy days. Before this workshop, I felt like I was just going through the motions, like I lived on autopilot. Now, I’ve got a plan that makes sense, and I’m finally making progress on the things that matter to me in my personal life and my career.

I’ll never forget the moment during the third session when András described timeboxing as: success is not measured based on how perfectly you are hitting your timeboxes, but on how much insights you can get at the end of the day and that was the first time I felt that I do not need to hit the goal exactly without the nagging guilt or overwhelm. András doesn’t just talk about setting goals—he helps you figure out what really matters to you and shows you how to go after it, even when life feels hectic.

If you’re a mom—or anyone—feeling stuck or unsure about how to start, this workshop is exactly what you need. András’s approach is all about finding what works for you and making it happen. It’s not just another training; it’s like having someone in your corner cheering you on. Honestly, don’t overthink it—just do it. It’s been a game-changer for me, and I know it can be for you too.
